Josh Fly

Kili

Josh was born and raised in the mountains of Colorado and has always found the great outdoors is the best classroom for fun, self-development, and exploration. Combined with his love for people, fascination with movement and physiology, and endless curiosity about the potential of the human spirit- Josh naturally gravitated to a career in coaching and teaching.

He has spent nearly 2 decades in the health and fitness industry in a wide range of roles- as a fitness director, breath coach,
personal trainer, ultra-endurance athlete, and strength & conditioning coach.  He has had the great privilege of working with a myriad of interesting people including kids, teams, teenage athletes, special populations, and rebel-hearted grandparents. Some of Josh’s noteworthy athletic accomplishments include running the New York City Marathon (3x), completing Comrades Marathon (3x), summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro 2 times, stand-up paddleboarding 26 miles around the island of Manhattan, run-hiking 45 miles through the Grand Canyon (Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim),
and running ‘50 Epic Miles’ on a treadmill (2x) as a fundraiser for kids and communities in the developing world. Part-time, Josh trains clients (privately and virtually) and co-facilitates exposure workshops utilizing nature, movement, breath-work, cold water immersion, and sauna
therapy. Full-time, he works as an events manager and performance director for a global humanitarian organization where he leads teams to take on endurance challenges and outdoor adventures around the globe.

These amazing experiences serve as a strategic launch pad for people to experience personal transformation while simultaneously changing the world through fundraising and awareness work. Josh is continually investing in his professional skillset- most recently through an extensive mentorship with Brian Mackenzie. Other areas of development have included Wilderness Medicine, Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries, Art of Breath, National Academy of Sports Medicine, Human Psychology and Behavior, XPT Master Coach, Gym Jones, Ortho-Kinetics, USA Weightlifting, CrossFit, Muscle Activation Techniques (Jumpstart), and StrongFirst (Kettlebell Certification). Along with high-level training in Leadership Management, Development, and Performance, Josh brings a passion for people to all his roles in work and life.
